Effects of the Unit:
Touch the attacker with the outside metal contact probes while pressing the trigger. A one-half second contact will neutralize and stun the attacker and cause them pain and muscle contractions. One to two seconds of contact will cause muscle spasms and also a dazed state-of-mind. Over three seconds will cause loss of balance, muscle control, mental confusion and disorientation. This unit will work on any part of the body. But for maximum effect shock in the shoulder, upper hip and below rib cage. While using the unit, if the assailant is holding on to you, you can not receive any discharge back to your own body.
Testing the Unit:
Make sure that no part of your hand or body is closer to the contact probes than the switch and safety zone plate. By pushing the safety switch into the "ON" position and pressing the trigger for no more than a second an arc of electricity between the electrodes will appear and make a loud "zapping" sound which will indicate proper function.
Caution:
Make certain the safety switch is in the "OFF" position to avoid accidental shock. Keep batteries fully charged if using rechargeables. If using alkaline batteries, please test periodically to assure sufficient power is available for proper function. VERY IMPORTANT!! After test firing the stun gun in the air, the high power capacitors will hold a small charge, so please discharge the unit against a piece of metal before putting the stun gun away or touching the ends. This will prevent you from receiving a mild shock if you accidentally touch the electrodes.
WARNING:
Keep away from children. A stun gun is not a toy. Do not use in rooms with flammable gases as well as around petrol stations as it can cause an explosion. Check local and state regulations to determine if possission of this device is legal in the jurisdiction it is carried in. Only use this stun gun in case of emergency as a defense weapon.
